Please review the 2015 Move-In Guide for dates, directions, and policy information pertaining to the Move-In process for academic year housing.
Housing and Residential Life HRL houses approximately 5800 students in 21 undergraduate residence halls, three undergraduate apartment complexes and one graduate apartment complex. For freshmen, our housing opportunities include numerous Living and Learning Communities, where students of similar academic interests and classes live together.
HRL strives to provide a safe, convenient, and well maintained living environment. We seek to create residential communities where students will excel academically and develop a respect for the personal rights and human dignity of all community members. We are proud to offer residential programs that cultivate and support individual wellness and development, campus involvement, responsible choices, and pride in The University of Rhode Island.
University of Rhode Island students are invited to live, learn, and connect in our on-campus residential communities. We welcome the opportunity to provide our students with a home away from home with immediate access to all resources and activities offered on the Kingston campus.
